Boys run at 3:30 pm

There will be a team dinner on Thursday at the Mortimer House. Info here

Volunteering at Cresthill:
Each year HRHSXC helps out Cresthill with their home meets. This year is no different. We will be going down from 3:45-4:30 on both Tuesday and Thursday this week to help Cresthill run their meet. Students will get community service hours from both meets.

Falcon Project Shirts:
It was so great to see the huge crowd of parents all wearing their Falcon Project shirts. We have another order placed so I will email out once we have them in that way you can get yours if you do not already have one!

Labor Day Practice:
For those in town on Labor Day, we will be having practice. Practice will be at 8 am at Goodson Rec Center.

Looking Ahead: Team Dinners and Optional Morning Practice

Good morning,

Thank you to those of you that joined us for early morning practice today. From the requests of the runners there we will be switching practice from 6 to 5:45 for the optional morning practices in order to accommodate for time in the morning to get ready.

Team Dinners:

Team dinners are a huge part of our team culture and team building. We will have a team dinner before every meet and we need your help! There are still some slots available to host but we also need volunteers to co-host by bringing beverages, salads, and bread/dessert.

Happy Monday!

I apologize for the lateness of this email on Monday, the emails were just posted in Infinite Campus today and wanted to make sure I had a detailed email list. Normally emails will be posted by 7 am on Mondays.

Q-Man
Q-Man was a giant success. Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered and helped out. Huge shout out to our student race directors, Noelle Harff, Tyler Captain, and Aiden Cermak.

Here are the results from Q-Man and results from years past. This will be updated weekly. Please check to see if I spelled your name wrong so I can get that changed

Morning Practices
We will have morning practices every week during our recovery day. These practices are completely optional. We understand that we have very involved student-athletes and wanted to give them a way to get practice done early in case they have anything after school. Our first morning practice is tomorrow at 6 am at Daniel's Park (trailhead off Grigs road).

Windjammer
Our first official meet is this Saturday at Englewood High School (3800 S Logan St. Englewood, CO 80113) for the Windjammer Invite. 10 runners will run varsity and everyone else will be competing at the JV level. For this meet, varsity will be running a 5k and JV will be running a two-mile.

Week 1: Parent Meeting, Spike Night, and Q-Man

Happy Sunday,

Hope everyone had a good first few days back to school. I wanted to send out this email to give you all the information for the week. First, we have a brand new website, https://hrhsxc.blogspot.com/ please go there for all the information on coaches, practices, and this year's meet schedule.

You'll notice this week is super busy with the start of the season and with Q-Man on Saturday. On Tuesday we will have a parent meeting at the school at 6:30, please plan on attending as you will get all the information on the season, team dinners, and how to get involved.
On Wednesday is spike night at Runner's Roost Lone Tree. That night they will have pizza, discounts, and sponsors there for us.

Finally, on Saturday is the 10th annual Q-Man Classic. For those of you that don't know, each year the cross country team and student senate put on a 5k fundraiser and post-race carnival. This race is a memorial race for HRHS student Quinton Sanford. The vast majorities of the proceeds are donated towards Autism research. This year we are partnering up with T.A.C.T. a local non-profit that works with students of Autism to teach trades and help with employment. The runners will start at 8 am and then help afterward with a community race after. We will have a sign-up sheet at the parent meeting to volunteer. If any parents or family members want to sign up and run the community 5k here is the link, bit.ly/qman2019

Let me know if you guys have any questions. Thanks!
